The Parochial Church Council of All Saints Church, Wokingham, encourages aspiring musicians through its scholarship scheme. The church's musical life is enriched by the scholars' talents, who in turn gain lots of experience with expert guidance. Several of the young musicians of the church have gone on to take music scholarships at university level.
For further information about a scholarship, please contact the Director of Music on directorofmusic@allsaintswokingham.org.uk . To apply, please send a Curriculum Vitae and the contact details for two referees.
The following scholarship is currently available:
Junior Choral Scholars (one year post from October 2013)
These posts are ideally suited to singers between the ages of 16 and 19 of any voice part. Successful scholars will have already attained a reasonable level of musical proficiency and their time with the choir of All Saints will help them develop a foundation of professional level skills. The scholarships carry an annual grant of £150 for the furtherance of the Scholar's musical education. Junior Choral Scholars are expected to play a full part in the life of the choir and will receive specialist guidance and support to enable them to develop as singers and performers. Solo and semichorus work will be available. Please contact Richard Smith for further information. directorofmusic@allsaintswokingham.org.uk
